Enjoying the Pool!

With it being so hot during the summer, we wanted to get Maddie & Dalton something they could play in and cool off.  So we got them a pool!!!  We tested it out last week.  Maddie absolutely loved it while Dalton didn’t like it quiet so much (he had an ear infection though).  He did get in eventually but was quick to get back out!  We plan to try it again next week when he feels better.

Our Trip to WV!

Maddie loves to go to Mammy’s house.  She loves to play with her 4 cousins and she always leaves saying atleast 10 new words and making more sentences.  Dalton has fun to now that he can keep up with everybody!!  The kids got to play outside alot and Dalton got another birthday party!  Pappy took us out to the National Guard Facility where he retired from as the Chief Helicopter Mechanic (that was his full-time job).  My dad used to take me out there when I was little (and when I was bigger!!!) and I would play in the helicopters and ride the gigantic tricycles :)   They still have those!  It was special to be able to take Maddie & Dalton, although they weren’t quiet big enough to enjoy the bikes :)   Maybe another time!!!

Family Reunion 2008

Every year during Memorial Day weekend, the Chambers family have their big family reunion.  It’s tucked away in Canoe Branch holler where I was born in Chapmanville, WV.  This year, Jerry, I and the kids were able to go.  We did nothing but chase them all day!!!  Maddie loved the trampoline.  Dalton just walked around and checked everything out.   It was great to be able to see everyone and how much all the little kids are growing.

Baby Dalton Turns One!

Our little Dalton is already one year old.  What started out as a colic, reflux, sleepless newborn turned into a very happy little boy!!!  I can honestly say he is such a joy.  His smile and hugs alone will make the crankiest person smile.  We are so thankful to have him as part of our family.  Children are gifts from the Lord and we cherish each and every day we have with ours.  Dalton’s big party day started out by getting the house ready.  His theme was John Deere which was super cute!  We (I should say Jerry)  then decorated the outside.  We put up a barn and some hay and arranged to take the kids on “hay-rides”.  Then Nana called to say she was coming which was a pleasant surprise.  She and Poppa just arrived back from Moldova two days prior so imagine the jet lag but she still made it to the party!!  Baby Dalton had so much fun.  Here are some pics of the party.
